Liverpool to line up Stuttgart and Salzburg friendly

Liverpool will play pre-season friendlies against Stuttgart and RB Salzburg, their stay in Austria.

Jurgen Klopp champions are in Saalfelden near Salzburg for 10 days, having arrived in Austria last Saturday after a vanquished replacement of plans following the government’s new quarantine restrictions.

With The Arsenal’s opposite Community Shield a week away on Saturday (August 29), Klopp’s team made some friendlies before that date to catch up.

And now it seems that the two opposing sides will be the German Stuttgart, who are already in Saalfelden and played against Ajax in a friendly on Tuesday, and RB Salzburg, which the Reds played last season in the Champions League.

The opposite setting to Stuttgart is scheduled to take place on Saturday 22 August and then opposite Salzburg on Tuesday 25 August.

Both matches will take place at the Stadion Burgerau, of course, behind closed doors. For fans, any of the matches will be live on LFCTV.

Stuttgart is controlled by Thomas Hitzlsperger and promoted to the Bundesliga last season.

Liverpool has an appointment with both clubs, with Nat Phillips spending last season on loan at Stuttgart and the Reds signing Takumi Minamino of Salzburg in January.

Klopp’s team will return to Merseyside next Wednesday, before the Community Shield, before some players head to outside duty before the start of the season on September 12.

The dates of the new season will be this Friday (August 21).
