Liverpool released a preview of their big clash against Manchester United on Sunday, saying “the match will go ahead as planned” after two defense meetings were held on Sunday morning.

Premier League officials also added that they “thank all concerned for helping us organize this match” and suggested fans attending the match at Anfield to be more careful.

The weather warnings were in force in most of England on Saturday night and Sunday morning, since strong snowfall and frost affected Liverpool and Manchester.

Both Liverpool and Manchester airports were shut on Sunday morning due to the weather conditions, as travel to and from the region remains difficult. However, rain is expected in the area in the hours before kick off and the decision has been made that the game will go ahead as planned.
