The clash between Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United will go ahead heavy snow hit the United Kingdom overnight.

The runways at Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon airports closed on Sunday morning due to snowfall.
But after two safety meetings, officials legalize the adjustment to play as planned. Liverpool will host their rivals at Anfield at 4. 30 p. m. GMT on Sunday afternoon as they look to overcome their breakthrough in the most sensible rankings.
“Today’s adjustment to Manchester United will take a position as planned,” said the Merseyside Club. “Two security meetings took position before to evaluate the weather and conditions.
“We thank everyone involved in helping us to get this game on today. If you’re travelling to Anfield then please take extra care. We look forward to seeing you there.”
While the pitch was always likely to be able to be made playable, the safety of travelling fans will also have been considered with regards to a possible postponement.
Liverpool has already had a game ruined by the weather this season, and the December derby between Merseyside and Everton was not played after being the victim of Storm Darragh.
Fulham also hosts Ipswich in the Premier League at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon, the snow hasn’t been as heavy in London and in the south as temperatures rise.
Arne Slot’s Liverpool currently top the table by five points from Arsenal, who dropped points at Brighton yesterday, while Manchester United are languishing in 14th place.
