Paris Saint-Germain has been strengthening its defence since the capital club announced the arrival of Willian Pacho on Friday.   On the other hand, new information has emerged about how the Ecuadorian defender landed in the French capital despite everything.

Pacho revealed the reason for his signing for the Parisian club through the club’s official website.

“It’s a big club and I’m excited to be part of this family now,” Pacho said. “The assignment is ambitious, the way of working, the coach, everything attracts me! When the club contacted me I didn’t hesitate for a second. I’m sure that being here will help me grow as a user and as a player, and I’m going to give it my all!  »

The capital club reportedly beat Liverpool for the Ecuadorian defender, as the Reds reportedly have their eyes on him. Le10Sport shared its details on Sunday, noting that the Premier League had tried to make a last-minute move for the player.

According to the French media, when Liverpool found out that PSG had reached an agreement, they made a higher offer to Eintracht Frankfurt for Pacho. However, it was too late; Frankfurt had already committed to PSG and had rejected Liverpool’s request to close the agreement with Paris.

PSG can be pleased to have landed a skill that advisor Luis Campos has been following for some time. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the agreement includes a constant payment of 40 million euros plus complements and a five-year contract for Pacho.

Since arriving in Frankfurt in 2023, Pacho has played games with the German national team and has provided two assists.
