Looking for a sustainable footwear brand? Meet the IINDACO label

Founded through her friends Pamela Costantini and Domitilla Rapisardi, IINDACO is the logo of durable and modern shoes that will be on your radar.

IINDACO, which takes its indigo-colored call, and by the way the shade of the afternoon sky when you’re loose with pictures and about toArray And on those shoes inspired by the 90s of course.

Proudly labeled “Made in Italy,” expect craftsmanship, quality and sustainable business practices. Then there are the absolutely cool designs that are all contrast oriented and reflect the closeness of the aesthetics of the girls, and it is literally fireplace (check the heels and get the reference).

And the logo gets even bigger as Pamela and Domitilla take the opportunity to drive positive replacement within the fashion industry, learning more about it in their own words.

Felicity Carter: What’s your first elegant memory?

Pamela Costantini: When I was little, I used to see my mom draw, when I went to the Accademia dell’Alta Moda di Roma, and I sat next to her and leafing through her paintings, beautiful sketches that I fell in love with. Fashion.

FC: Talk about your logo and how it was born …

It was November 2017 and we were fashionable and chatting on the phone as usual. But we are disappointed by the environmental sustainability and stubbornness of the industry. For us, this delicate subject has been vital at all times and we feel the desire to replace anything and dedicate ourselves to making fashion more ethical and fair. And so the concept of creating our own logo and building our own regulations was born. And from this very moment IINDACO was born: a commission that reflects our aesthetics and our ethical vision.

FC: What do you contribute to the label?

We are two opposites who approach and balance. Pamela is the rigorous, architectural and orderly part, has a white and geometric taste and a deep technical wisdom of the product she has acquired through delight and collaboration with wonderful designers.

Domitilla is certainly more emotional, gets carried away for the moment and, through his intuition, likes to run dangers and embark on new challenges. He has a great skill for craftsmanship and scenes of shoe making.

FC: How would you summarize aesthetics?

The IINDACO aesthetic is the product of our two visions, a balanced coexistence of contrasts fostered throughout the 90s. For us, the good looks and femininity are reflected in the seduction of the neighbor, a blank face, a naturalness and an infinite elegance created with few details.

FC: What is it for you?

For IINDACO, the new luxury is responsibility. The long term will have to be a component of our daily lives from small gestures to the highest vital choices. That’s why IINDACO is committed to creating sustainable 360-degree collections – from design to production, from clothing to distribution. For example, a fabric we use is a sublime jaspered silk, the wet call that is actually used a lot in fashion for nightgowns. Our factory already had it in stock and we reused and recycled it for footwear, making it 100 percent sustainable. The leathers we use are, for example, calf skins that come uniquely and strictly from food industry waste and even “dead inventory”, leftover fabrics.

The other parts of the shoes are also durable: the heels are recycled and, in fact, in recyclable ABS. Insoles and linings are also biodegradable. The exclusive precautions found under the base of all IINDACO shoes are the result of the highest experience of Italian artisans – and indeed Made in Italy, in total respect of the concepts of maximum fashion of social sustainability.

Finally, our packaging is made of lavender agri-food waste and our shipments are tracked to compensate for CO2 emissions.

FC: What’s on your temperament board now?

The chaos is ironic, however, to achieve the “balanced balance of contrasts” that we discussed earlier, we will have to start from the absolute imbalance and then examine the photographs slowly until we get the best result for either; it is a procedure that is helping us a lot to perceive ourselves and allows us to start a collection in total harmony.

FC: Are there any standout or favorite pieces for yours?

Before the release, we had made many designs and evolved several models, but then we learned that for our first collection, “The Blue Hour”, we had to provide only our absolute favorite pieces and those to which we are attached. So, sure, Pegasus shoes, Argo boots, Ade sandals and Orfeo boots are the ones that we identify with the maximum and the ones we are looking for to present ourselves to the global.

FC: What are your stamp durations?

Our dream is that IINDACO has a logo that promotes a way of life based on the concept of network and sustainability, through transmitting what fashion means to us and how we can live in fashion, but in a sustainable way.

FC: Where can we buy?

For now, you can buy in our e-commerce or luisa Via Roma, where you can also notice an exclusive capsule collection that we have created just for them.
