LSU house game in Missouri moved due to Delta hurricane

The school football game between No. 16 LSU and Missouri, to be played Saturday in Baton Rouge, moved to Colombia due to unrest with Hurricane Delta, the Southeast Conference announced Wednesday.

The game will be played at noon ET and will be streamed via ESPN. Previously.

“Because the rapprochement will have an effect on Hurricane Delta in Louisiana and the surrounding area, it is of great interest for the protection of all involved to move the game to Colombia,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in the statement.

“It’s imperative to move the game to an SEC campus where SEC COVID-19 control protocols are in place and apply seamlessly,” Sankey said. “I appreciate the cooperation of schools that work largely in combination to make adequate operational replenishments to prioritize the physical condition and protection of our student-athletes taking into account this change in schedule.

The SEC continues to monitor the trail of Hurricane Delta and remains in communication with member schools to assess its possible effect on other sports occasions this week.
