LSU vs Florida postponed after COVID-19 outbreak in Gators

Saturday’s game between the LSU Tigers and the Florida Gators was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak with the Florida team.

The SEC broke the news on Wednesday and said the game was postponed until December 12:

NEWS: The LSU at the Florida FB game on October 17 is postponed due to positive testing and the next quarantine of Americans from the Florida FB program. The action meets the control requirements of SEC COVID-19. The game is tentatively postponed until December 12.

The Gators announced that sports director Scott Stricklin would face the media at 2 p. m. ET Wednesday to discuss the program epidemic.

The University of Florida announced Tuesday that there were five COVID-19 tests on the show last week and all football activities have stopped.

As Payton Titus of the Independent Florida Alligator first reported on Tuesday and showed through ESPN’s Andrea Adelson, the Gators had 19 COVID-19 tests among players, coaches and staff.
