Luis Suarez marks two clubs on a dazzling 20-minute debut at Atletico

Luis Suarez presented his career at Atletico Madrid tonight with a dream start, marking a double after being from the bench against Granada.

Diego Simeone’s men delayed their 2020/21 crusade recently.

The giants of the capital welcomed the Granada minnows to Wanda Metropolitano, for the club’s opening match in La Liga.

And to say that Atletico kept starting out would definitely take it lightly.

Diego Costa put the locals on the road in the first 10 minutes, with Granada in his honor, having controlled to keep the red-whites for a single purpose in the first half.

However, after the interval, the floodgates were opened.

Angel Correa then on target, before Joao Felix put the result out of doubt in a time after the time mark.

Marcos Llorente added some more later, before the biggest concentrate of the setting was played in the last 10 minutes.

After being put into action for his debut moments earlier, Luis Suarez continued to score his first goal with the colours of his new club with an exact effort:

And, incredibly, the Uruguayan returned in uphill time, tying his double to climb some brilliity to the scoreboard and finish off a dream start.

Meanwhile, what makes the first exhibition of Suarez’s Atleti even more special is that his contributions tonight also saw the 33-year-old record his call in the club’s history books.

As shown below, Suarez set up a couple tonight.

He was the first player to score a goal and make his debut for the Mattresses.

And Liverpool’s ex is the loner who never scored a double in his first outing to Atletico:
