Lukáš Hádecký’s undefeated series arrives in half a century after Bayer Leverkusen attracts Leipzig

The Finland international hasn’t suffered defeat in the Bundesliga for 50 games now, a run which stretches back to the final day of the 2022/23 campaign, when Xabi Alonso’s side were bested 3-0 in Bochum.

That followed a dazzling 2023/24 season, while Hrádecký led his team to a league and cup double, unbeaten in the Bundesliga in the process. The “goalkeeper missed a single Lonely League match, a 0-0 draw at home opposite Gladbach in January 2024, meaning he remained unbeaten in 33 consecutive games.

Hrádecký’s personal record continued past that of his club after he missed the 3-2 defeat against Leipzig on Matchday 2 due to illness. Having avoided defeat in 17 appearances this season, the Finn’s run now stretches to a half-century, meaning he is closing in on the current record held by Jérôme Boateng (56 matches), who reached that total at Bayern Munich.

Hrádecký’s Leverkusen teammate, Robert Andrich, who was an unused sub in the Leipzig loss at the start of the season and who is unbeaten in his last 43 Bundesliga apperances, joins the Bayer 04 custodian in this esteemed list amongst several Bayern stars who were a part of their treble-winning side in 2013.
