Maddison officially closes his e-book on Manchester United and clubs

James Maddison has officially closed the e-book on any movement hypothesis after signing a four-year contract with Leicester City. It is a widespread idea that the 23-year-old would go to Manchester City, however the recent signing of the contract nevertheless deserves to put an end to these accusations.

Maddison joined the Foxes in 2018 following a deal with Norwich. Since then he has played a total of 76 games for Leicester, scoring 16 goals and offering 10 assists. But his preference for staying goes beyond the numbers he has produced. The English player is enjoying his time at King Power Stadium and will continue to attend the club.

“What we’ve achieved as a club this season is a big step forward for us and I know there’s a lot more to come from this team,” Maddison said on the club’s official website.

Maddison has one of the most exciting young talents in the current league. After making his Three Lions debut in November 2019, he has made wonderful progress. This includes being named the club’s young player of the season at the end of the 2018-19 season.

“I have enjoyed every moment since I arrived in Leicester City. The enthusiasts have been amazing to me and we have a fantastic group of players in this locker room who are determined to show what we are able to do in combination in Europe and the Premier League next season.”

Maddison has yet to remember her modeling form after missing several games due to a hip injury. His last purpose was a win over Newcastle on New Year’s Day and he has not provided any attendance during the current year, Goal reported.

With a new season ahead of us, the Foxes hope to begin a fresh start. This happened on 12 September when Leicester faced West Brom. Seven days later, they faced Burnley.

Although it was already speculated months ago, United was unlikely to hire Maddison, some still leave a glimmer of hope. Now, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to look the other way with the maximum of his goals out of range.
