Former Rangers star Malik Tillman could complete a £12m move to PSV Eindhoven in January after admitting he enjoyed life at the club.
The Bayern Munich loanee was a vital player for the Ibrox side last season, but the deal to repay the loan to Scottish football collapsed permanently this summer after the German giants rethought his long-term career and sent him to the Eredivisie with Rangers. PSV, winners of the Champions League, are on the spot.
Gers had an agreement with the Bundesliga champions that included an exclusive purchase option. However, this was cancelled by Bayern in exchange for Gers receiving 10 per cent of any long-term fees, plus a £1 million payment. Tillman flourished after recovering from injury and scored five goals and provided three assists in thirteen league games. Now PSV would like to make the move consistent with the one in January and Tillman has hinted that he would love to move to the Netherlands. He said: “I enjoyed my time at PSV from day one. It was the right resolution for me after Rangers. The coach, the team and the taste of offensive play suit me.
“We also played in the Champions League and that was a very important condition for me. And we are also fighting for the title. This requires a confident mentality all the time. I need to expand more in Eindhoven and who knows what will happen. ” You can imagine the next one. I don’t know what will happen, it depends on PSV and Bayern.
“But if PSV activate the option to buy, I don’t think I have much to complain about. So I would play at a high point at PSV, I have to do it and still go back to the next point. “
