Man arrested after ‘Koran burned’ in Manchester city centre

A guy arrested after a copy of the Quran was burned in central Manchester.

The book of Santo Islamic seemed to be live on social networks on Saturday.

The incident took its position in the Glyade of Light memorial, which commemorates patients with the 2017 Manchester sand bombing.

The police now say that a type of 47 years has been arrested under suspicion of a racially annoying public order crime.

He remains in custody currently for questioning.

Deputy Director Stephanie Parker said: “We perceive the deep fear that this will cause in some of our varied communities and are aware of a video.

“We made a swift arrest at the time and recognise the right people have for freedom of expression, but when this crosses into intimidation to cause harm or distress we will always look to take action when it is reported to us.”
