Manchester City will hire Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara before Liverpool this summer, according to reports.
It was reported on the weekend that Liverpool have agreed to non-public terms in a four-year contract with the Spanish midfielder.
However, he stated on Tuesday that the clubs remained separate in their 29-year-old assessment of the player, with Bayern at 27 million pounds, but Liverpool are unwilling to pay that amount for someone who has only one year left on his contract.
And now the French Soccer Link (via Sport Witness) claims that Man City has “put the accelerator” in their quest for Thiago, however the report ensures that Liverpool have a “considerable advantage” in the race to point out the Spaniard.
Leonardo, for his part, is Alaba, with which he has been in contact for a few weeks and which fits as a priority.

The report also adds that Pep Guardiola, who has worked with Thiago in Barcelona and Bayern, has also been in contact with the German club above Kingsley Coman and David Alaba.
Asked about Liverpool’s hypothesis around Thiago in July and the Game in the Premier League, Guardiola said: “There is no doubt about it.
“A player who plays for Barcelona and Bayern Munich can play in the Premier League.Yes, of course, you can play. He’s a remarkable player. But I don’t know what he’s going to do.”
