Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero could be out for up to two months as he recovers from surgery on his left knee injury, coach Pep Guardiola said.
He underwent surgery on 24 June, two days after injuring himself in an English Premier League attack on Burnley.
The Argentine alien posted a video on Twitter on Thursday, in which he appeared running with a ball in an individual education session, but Guardiola said an imminent return to the team was unlikely.
“He’s doing the (work), maybe in a month or two, he’ll be ready,” Guardiola said.
“He wants to go back to the area and get back in shape. Sergio was away for a long time and Sergio is not a guy who temporarily regains his form. “
Gabriel Jesus will most likely start the season early in Aguero’s absence. The city’s first Premier League game will be in Wolverhampton on Monday.
