Manchester City presented four tests at the club on Christmas Day, adding two first-team members, according to an official statement.
Gabriel Jesus and Kyle Walker tested positive for the virus, as well as two staff members, according to one on the club’s website.
Both players are now expected to be quarantined for 10 days, without the next Manchester City Premier League matches against Newcastle, Everton and Chelsea.
Both players are expected to return to education a day before the Carabao Cup semi-final against Manchester United in early January.
The said:
“Manchester City FC can verify that Gabriel Jesus, Kyle Walker and two members tested positive for COVID-19. “
“The four members will now practice an era of self-de-idseling in accordance with the Premier League’s 40s protocol and the British government. “
“Everyone at the Club wants our colleagues a prompt recovery from the Christmas era before they return to work, education and competition. “
