The 25-year defense called the “dream” after signing a five-year contract.
Ake arrives at Etihad as a summer signing for Pep Guardiola after Ferran Torres.
After putting the pen on paper, Ake told the City club’s website: “The City has been England’s team for the past decade.
“Coming here is a dream for me. They are a complete high level of world-class players.
“Wherever you look on this team, there are big names with a pedigree.
“Pep is a coach admired all over the world; what he did in the game speaks for itself.
“The good luck you have is amazing and I like the taste for football you play.
“I know I’m going to have to paint hard to side with me, but that’s what I’m here to do.
“I’ll do everything I can to make the team have an effect and help win the trophies.”
And he posted a farewell message to his beloved Bournemouth after the move was confirmed.
Addressing his 716,000 Instagram followers, he said: “I need to say goodbye after a moment at the officialafcb.
“I want to thank everyone involved in the club for everything that has happened over the last few years.
“I spent a few years betting on Dean Court learning a lot and creating amazing memories.
“Thank you to all the players who made me feel welcome from the first minute.
“Thanks to you, now I’m going to take the next step.
“Finally, I would like to thank all the enthusiasts who have been with me since the moment I arrived.
“Unfortunately, we haven’t achieved this, but I’m sure we’ll see each other in the future. Goodbye and see you soon.”
He made his career at Chelsea before being loaned to Reading, Watford and Bournemouth.
He then made 109 appearances for the Cherries after them permanently in 2017.

But the city chief, Guardiola, made the Dutchman settle for an offer of 41 million pounds last week.
Guardiola is expected to spend three hundred million pounds on transfers this summer to close the gap with Liverpool.
