Man City on verge of statement Omar Marmoush signing as sources provide inside track on latest deal

Manchester City are set to make Omar Marmoush their new signing and TEAMtalk can provide insight into how that decision was reached.

On January 7, Teamtalk revealed that Man City had taken measures to hire Omar Marmoush of the Eintracht Frankfurt from the Bundesliga through an official investigation. Lately the conversations have been positive, since the striker is incredibly willing to go to the Premier League and play at the level.

These talks are now in their final phase and it is worth reaching an agreement to bring the Egyptian to Etihad to team up with Erling Haaland during the attack through Manchester City. Frankfurt was informed from the outset of the procedure for this resolution and was open to negotiations.

Doctors are already booked and he is expected to travel to Manchester in the next 24 hours to finalize the deal. The total cost of the move could reach £70 million (€82. 8 million/$85. 6 million) with specific add-ons.

Marmoush will also get a long-term deal, while he has secured a contract that will see him appear strongly for Pep Guardiola’s team.

A new striker option is a key position for City to fill this window and they wasted no time in making a move for the guy they had been following since last summer. The contacts took positions at the time, but the deal was not workable and they were still expected to respond this month.

Frankfurt is aware of Marmoush’s preference for a move to England and has noted that scouts from Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are eyeing him in recent months. There was no genuine movement from the other sides due to the fact that City had moved in very early and had advantages.

Discussions began on Jan. 7 and continued for the past two weeks. Personal terms were never going to depend on the player’s preference for making the transfer.

A contract agreed on a temporary basis, while there are main points to qualify between City and Frankfurt. There’s no panic though, the node of the deal has been established and the guy with 15 goals across 17 league games this season is on his way to rolling back his official transfer.

Meanwhile, City are ‘set to sign’ Real Valladolid defender Juma Bah before loaning him out for the remainder of the season.

It is possible that Bah will temporarily reposition City’s new signing Abdukodir Khusanov at Lens, as there is now an “excellent relationship” between City and the French club.

Citizens are reorganizing their defense for the future, having brought Vitor Reis from Palmeiras.

Amid the host of new arrivals, Kyle Walker has agreed to join AC Milan and will soon undergo a medical with the Italian giants.
