2019/20 was a disappointing year for Manchester City.
Citizens finished the 18-themed crusade, Premier League champions Liverpool.
They also failed in their FA Cup name and were eliminated from the Champions League in the quarter-finals.
A guy who is at his most productive time despite Man City’s poor season, however, Kevin De Bruyne.
The former Chelsea player possibly had his year under a city shirt, scoring thirteen goals and 20 assists in 35 league games:

These impressive achievements allowed De Bruyne to become manchester City’s first male player to win the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) Player of the Year award in September.
The 29-year-old also named the Men’s Champions League midfielder this month:

With De Bruyne as an integral part of City’s setup, the news that he’s about to sign a new contract will no doubt come as music to the ears of Sky Blues fans.
The Belgian had previously warned this year that he would be forced to think about his long-term career if the club’s European ban is maintained.
But with the ban revoked ever since, Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail reports that Man City is moving towards a new contract for his star midfielder.
De Bruyne has been in Etihad lately until 2023.
But Gaughan’s report says the midfielder is willing to signal a two-year extension to his current contract.
This would recommend that KDB be in a position to finish its career with Citizens, as it would be 34 years old at the expiration of such an agreement:
