Ilkay Gundogan has hinted at Manchester City’s attack characteristics without Sergio Aguero to fit into the Champions League with the Real MadridArray… even more reluctant to protect their own case.
Aguero is one of the main doubts of the last 16 games of next week after being operated in Barcelona by a knee injury last month, which means that Pep Guardiola will have to make plans without the club’s most sensible goalscorer. Playing without some of his most productive players is something the City is now used to, with Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte without long periods this season and Kevin De Bruyne before that.
If the Argentine striker fails to meet his physical condition in time for the match, Gundogan warned that Gabriel Jesus would not be the only option in the lead.
“We have to deal with injuries, as we have done this season, with Aymeric [Laporte] unavailable. We have to do the same now with Sergio’s situation. I’m sure we’ll get there,” he said on city website.
“Other players will have to step forward. We have Gabby [Jesus], who is a player, but we also have other players who can play as a false nine. I’m sure we can deal with that, but of course we’re going to miss it.

Guardiola, while discussing the stage in the past, advised Gundogan himself as an option as a false new. Bernardo Silva and De Bruyne have played there in previous matches for Les Bleus, however, the coach appreciates Gundogan’s sense of goal and play.
“I still see some players in front of me for this position. If I have to play there, I will and will do as productive as possible to help the team in the most productive way possible, as I do.
