Manchester City’s second leg against Real Madrid has been thrown into doubt by news that one of the Spanish champions’ players has tested positive for Covid-19.

Spanish radio journalist Fernando Burgos announced for the first time that a Star from Madrid had inflamed himself with the virus and had been confined to his home. Real Madrid has since shown that Dominican striker Mariano Díaz.

Burgos’ tweet concludes: “The opposite setting to Manchester City is lost.”

Madrid has been exempted from the strict regulations of the British government that prevent Spanish travellers from coming here without a fortnight quarantine.

But the news that there is Covid in the field of the Royal throws that out the window and means that the turnback of the last 16 games is seriously threatened.

A on Real Madrid’s online page says: “After the individual tests of COVID-19 in our first football team yesterday through the medical services of Real Madrid, our player Mariano gave a positive result.

“The player is in the best physical shape and complies with the protocol of sanitary isolation at home.”

It is understood that the tests were carried out on players who returned to education after a break, so Mariano might not have been in contact with other people on the team.

But with the last 8 tournaments starting the week after the City vs Madrid match, UEFA has a great resolution to make.

The attack originally scheduled for March, but had to be canceled when a Real Madrid basketball player who supplied the school with the football club tested positive for Covid-19.

It was reorganized for August 7, just five days before the start of the eighth-round tournament in Lisbon.

This is a story. More to come Array..
