Less than 24 hours before the Reds are in a position to receive West Brom in the Premier League, it has been revealed that the world-renowned club has been the victim of a primary cybercrime.
According to a Mirror report, United’s security systems were breached, forcing them to recruit cybersecurity experts overnight to help with club information.
It has been claimed that the guilty hackers, which are still unknown, searched the club’s systems for sensitive data in what was described as a “sophisticated” operation.
It is also understood that, fortunately, no fan knowledge was compromised, as the club complained that no sensitive data such as names, addresses and payment details were stolen.
Club officials showed the news in a message that read, “The club has taken swift steps to involve the attack and is lately working with trained advisors to investigate the incident and minimize ongoing PC disruption. “
“While this is a complicated operation through arranged cybercriminals, the club launched extensive protocols and procedures for this occasion and repeated this risk.
“Our cyberdemdands knew the attack and shut down the affected systems to involve the wounded and knowledge. “The club’s media channels, by adding our online page and app, are unaffected and lately we are unaware of any public knowledge violations related to our enthusiasts and customers.
“All critical systems required for fites to take position at Old Trafford remain safe and operational and tomorrow’s setting opposite West Bromwich Albion will continue. “
United is expected to begin in opposition to West Brom at 8 p. m. saturday in an attack that is expected to continue despite the recent cybercrime.
