Man Utd announced, as the conditional clause that will make the loan deal permanent has been revealed

A move between Manchester United and Benfica is fully agreed and a senior has revealed several key clauses in the deal, adding one that will force the loan deal to be permanent.

The Red Devils are yet to make any signings in this window as the club’s moving budget is known to be tight. The partial purchase of Sir Jim Ratcliffe was announced on Christmas Eve. However, its acquisition of a 25% stake is still pending approval by the Premier League, meaning it will have no influence on the existing window from a monetary perspective.

However, Ratcliffe has a say in many of Man Utd’s ongoing departures.

A takeover option was overlooked in the loan deal in which Jadon Sancho signed for Borussia Dortmund.

Reportedly, this decision was made because Sancho’s valuation has never diminished in his professional career. In addition, INEOS are willing to leave the door open for Sancho to become a good fortune at Old Trafford.

On the other hand, Fabrizio Romano showed that INEOS had particularly insisted that a termination option be inserted into Hannibal Mejbri’s transfer to Sevilla.

Other stars leaving the loan management this month include Donny van de Beek (Frankfurt) and Joe Hugill (Burton Albion).

Now, according to Man Utd’s official website, a fifth exit can be added to that list.

The Red Devils have shown that left-back Álvaro Fernández has joined Portuguese side Benfica on a six-month loan.

Fernandez, 20, was loaned to Spanish club Granada, Man Utd terminating that deal six months earlier when Benfica appealed.

Fernandez will now see out the season in Portugal and taking to X, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano divulged several critical clauses in the agreement.

Firstly, the loan comprises a purchase option worth €6 million that can be converted into a bonus if Fernandez starts at least 50% of his matches during the period.

Like Hannibal, Man Utd also gave themselves a second chance by placing a release clause. The value point at which the clause is set is still clear.

Finally, Man Utd also have the ‘corresponding rights’ to Fernandez as a sale clause. The accommodation rights simply mean that Man Utd will have the ability to accept any offer Benfica get for Fernandez in the future.
