Man Utd ‘offer Jadon Sancho to Barcelona in swap transfer for former Premier League star’

JADON SANCHO has been presented to Barcelona in a surprising move-change deal, according to reports.

Sancho has been exiled from the Manchester United squad since his public feud with Erik ten Hag in September.

The 23-year-old was exiled from senior squad formation after refusing to apologise to Ten Hag, who first criticised the winger for his educational performances ahead of the clash with Arsenal.

But according to Spanish outlet Sport, Man Utd will now swap Raphinha for Sancho.

Sport claims that Ten Hag is “fed up” with the Sancho saga and has proposed a transfer with Barcelona to the striker.

Raphinha has had an early slump at the Camp Nou, in his first season.

The former Leeds star has scored two goals and added assists in all competitions this season, making 15 appearances in total.

The 26-year-old featured in Barcelona’s 4-2 loss to La Liga rivals Girona on Sunday.

Sport claims the key to reaching an agreement may be convincing Barca sporting director Deco, who is also the Brazilian’s former agent.

The Red Devils have already been linked with a move for Raphinha when he was at Leeds and recently in the January 2023 window.

SunSport exclusively revealed last week that Sancho had missed education several times since being kicked out of the club’s academy teaching facilities.

However, none of those absences were sanctioned because he had an explanation for not showing up, rarely mentioning an illness.

Sancho is understood to be on full pay.

Ahead of Man Utd’s 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday, Ten Hag reiterated that the ball is in Sancho’s court if he needs to return to the team.

He said: “So it is about a culture and every player has to match certain standards and it was about that.

“What’s going on there?” He knows what he needs to do if he needs to come back. It’s up to him.

Manchester United face a very important clash with Bayern Munich to decide their fate in the Champions League.
