Paul Pogba has denied reports that he is about to quit football.
The 27-year-old Manchester United midfielder has said he will take legal action on reports that he is leaving France’s national team after comments by the country’s president, Emmanuel Macron, on Islam.
Writing on Instagram, Pogba said: “Absolutely one hundred percent of unfounded data about me is circulating, pointing out things I’ve never said or never thought about.
“I am dismayed, angry, surprised and frustrated that some ‘media’ resources are me to make false headlines on the delicate subject of French news and get on the French team and my faith in the boat.

“I oppose all the bureaucracy of terror and violence. Unfortunately, some hounds act with responsibility when they write the news, abuse their press freedom, check if what they write/reproduce is true, create a chain of gossip without being worried that it will affect people’s lives and my life.
“I’m taking legal action against the editors and announcers of this fake 100%. “
A spokesman for The Sun, whose report relates to Pogba, said: “We reported a story that Paul Pogba made a decision to leave the French football team after it was posted on a sports website.
“This story has also been on The Mirror, Mail Online and other websites.
“Later, Paul Pogba denied the claim and updated our story accordingly. We apologize for any disruption caused. “
