But despite the plans, Executive Vice President Ed Woodward warned that they oppose expecting big deals this summer, as clubs feel the monetary effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
He said: “We believed that our business style gives us greater resistance than the maximum clubs and we are grateful for the continued help of our business partners to help us achieve this goal.
“However, no one has any illusions about the magnitude of the challenge everyone faces in football and this may not be” like the usual “for no club, adding to us, in the moving market this summer.”
