Man Utd star eager to get through this month with new asking price revealed

NEWS. . . BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Jadon Sancho is eager to leave Manchester United and join Paris Saint-Germain before the summer moving window closes.

PSG are still keen to recruit attacking reinforcements following Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid this summer, with Sancho becoming the most sensible target.

The winger returned to United’s first team this summer, in the pre-season crusade and in last Saturday’s Community Shield clash against Manchester City, where he missed from 12 meters in the penalty shootout.

Sancho went into exile from the team a year ago after publicly challenging Erik ten Hag who questioned his effort in training. Refusing to apologise, he was expelled from the first team and signed on loan from Borussia Dortmund in January.

Sancho and Ten Hag appear to have buried the hatchet, but the option of moving to the French capital has turned heads to the extreme.

RMC Sport reports that Sancho is keen to sign for PSG, and the club has already made the first contacts with his representatives.

However, there is still one move to be made, as United are not easy to come up with €60m (£51. 4m) for the 24-year-old.

United and PSG have held talks this summer about the departure of Manuel Ugarte, who is willing to move to Old Trafford.

Ten Hag wants the club to sign a new central midfielder, with the Uruguayan foreigner being the main target, but PSG have remained firm in their assessment.

The French champions are expecting £60m for the player they signed a year ago, and United are not willing to meet that figure and now have other options.

Ugarte has been excluded from educational matches through head coach Luis Enrique, according to reports in France, and RMC reported that negotiations with United are expected to continue in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.

United signed 4 new players this summer, with Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro joining from Bologna and Lille respectively.

On Tuesday, the club showed the arrivals of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui in a double move of just under £60m.
