Erling Haaland underlined his thing against Borussia Dortmund, which will be a major blow for Manchester United.
The Norwegian, one of football’s most wanted men at the turn of the year after his performances at Red Bull Salzburg.
United sought to take Haaland to Old Trafford, but chose to move to Germany.
The 20-year-old fell to the ground with a run, scoring 16 goals in 18 outings, and again goalsucking the Dortmund Bundesliga champions.
“I have a long-term contract here until 2024. In any case, my great purpose is to earn the name BVB and celebrate the hits with our fans,” he told Bild.
“We have the quality to become champions, but talking alone is not enough. Bayern have stood out for their consistency.”
Despite being snubbed, United still sought to take Haaland to Old Trafford in the coming years.
Several European heavyweights were also willing to serve, namely Real Madrid, the Red Devils can still face the festival if they attack for the time being.
But Dortmund are obviously convinced to retain their striker after the club’s sporting director, Michael Zorc, revealed that he is not looking for a striker.
They would probably be in the window for a wide player if Jadon Sancho is looking for new pastures this summer.
Old Trafford has been touted as its next destination for months, but Dortmund does not seem to double its sale price.
The German look recently ended the signing of Jude Bellinham of Birmingham, the teenager also a target for United.
