Manchester United are facing a tough party when it comes to Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin as PSG are now in the race to sign him, according to reports.
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to oversee a renewal at Old Trafford, the club are gearing up for a busy summer window.
In addition to bolstering several key positions, Man Utd will also have to get rid of a number of stars who are now considered surplus to what is needed.
Despite the arrivals of André Onana and Altay Bayindir last summer, the club appears to be looking for a new goalkeeper forward for next season.
It’s fair to say that Onana has had an eventful first season at Old Trafford. While his underlying numbers are sufficient, he has made a number of high-profile mistakes, especially in the Champions League.
Reports last month claimed that Man Utd were interested in Lunin, but their search for the Real Madrid goalkeeper has become even more sensitive.
According to reports in Spain, PSG and Bayern Munich are interested in signing the 25-year-old who has inspired this season.
The report claims that Lunin is unsure whether he will renew his contract at Real Madrid and compete with Thibaut Courtois, or try his luck elsewhere.
Jorge Mendes, Lunin’s agent, is already “considering proposals” from Manchester United, PSG and Bayern Munich.

Given the impressive form the goalkeeper has shown in Courtois’ absence, it’s no wonder so many sensible European groups are interested in him.
In La Liga this season, he has prevented 5. 1 goals based on his xG numbers after shots and also has an impressive 79. 3% save percentage, which is the most productive in the league.
His current contract in Spain is valid until 2025 and, despite rumours about his departure, Real Madrid seem confident about renewing his contract.
“Real Madrid are now confident that they have reached a final agreement with Andriy Lunin on a new deal,” Fabrizio Romano wrote on X.
“Real Madrid need Lunin to stay and be part of their project, even if they expect Courtois to be their number one goalkeeper next season. Contract proposal, in a position as revealed two weeks ago.
Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda has more information on the player as Man Utd, PSG and Bayern Munich vie for his signing.
