Man Utd are determined to sign Juventus defender Gleison Bremer this summer and have reportedly figured out the right strategy to fulfil that mission.
The Brazilian joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2022 and has now established himself as an integral piece of the backline.
Earlier this season, the 27-year-old signed a new contract, pushing back the expiration date to 2028.
Still, the contract renewal doesn’t necessarily mean that the Old Lady has secured the player’s long-term contract.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United will try to sign Bremer by activating his buy-back clause with Juventus.
The source claims that the player’s new contract includes a release clause valued at €50 million that the Red Devils will reportedly activate.
The report insists that the Premier League giants have seen Brazil as their main target to bolster their defence.
Therefore, this announced clause will offer them the opportunity to do so at an affordable price.
As for the Bianconeri, it would be a huge blow as Bremer is arguably the most fundamental member of the defence.
However, the deal would provide them with the means to look for a replacement, or even other gambling halls.
This season, the former Torino player has been almost omnipresent in Max Allegri’s starting eleven. He played 28 of the 29 Serie A games, missing only one through suspension.
The centre-back has scored two goals in La Liga this season.
Why a clause? Lovers.
