PSV EINDHOVEN have reportedly formalised their move for Manchester United’s pariah Facundo Pellistri.
The Uruguayan star has struggled to impress Erik ten Hag, who is in a position to let the winger pass in the January transfer window.
Pellistri, 22, has never had a normal career with the Red Devils since arriving from his home country for around £9m in 2020.
And he has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford this season, although he has noticed Antony and Marcus Rashford struggling in their position.
The winger featured in United’s 2-0 win over Wigan on Monday for the first time since September.
But this could be his last game for some time, as he is expected to be the next star to leave the club this month, according to the Daily Mail.
The report claims that Ten Hag has indicated that he is in a position to let Pellistri go, prompting PSV to check their interest in the Uruguay international.
The Eredivis side are expected to enter into talks with United about a potential loan.
However, they probably won’t be alone, as MLS giants LA Galaxy are also interested in the winger.
And La Liga side Villarreal are also hoping to secure a permanent deal with the Uruguayan abroad this month.
The Spanish side initially showed interest in the winger during the summer.
The move may be fitting for Pellistri, who has already reveled in top-flight Spanish football after two seasons on loan at Alaves.
And the club are open to a first loan until the end of the season, and United are willing to recoup at least what they paid for the 18-cap star.
But Pellistri is not ruled out with a move to the Netherlands, as PSV are on their way to Eredivisie glory this season.
