In goal, André Onana is expected to retain his place in United’s squad for Klopp’s men, having started 38 of his 39 competitive games this season. The only one he missed was the FA Cup against Newport while playing for Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Defensively, Diogo Dalot is expected to start on the right side of the back four with Victor Lindelof at left-back, while Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are still out. As for the centre-back duo, Harry Maguire, who is expected to return from injury, can simply pair Raphael Varane with Jonny Evans on the bench.
Casemiro was not at his best against Everton last weekend, but he is expected to retain his position alongside Kobbie Mainoo as a double pivot. They would sit down with an attacking midfield trio of Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and Alejandro Garnacho, with Marcus Rashford up front. .
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Rasmus Hojlund are expected to return to the team of the day but may have to settle for a bench spot. Antony, Sofyan Amrabat, Christian Eriksen, Altay Bayindir and some graduates of the academy are also expected to be alternates.
