Just four days after signing for Pep Guardiola’s team, he returned to Spain on loan from Real Valladolid, where he played 15 games in all competitions and helped his team finish 13th in La Liga.
Porro did not play after he resumed the previous season this summer and, despite his contract with City until 2024, it seems that his long career is now in Portugal.
When he signed for Sporting, Porro told the club’s website: “I’m very happy.Sporting CP is a main player in Portugal and I am excited about the project.
“It’s a big step in my career. I’m here to give it my all and make a championship.
I am a type of player who likes to work, set goals and stick to them. I come to do the most productive and that of my teammates and this wonderful club.
