Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and wife Cristina Serra ‘to divorce’, reports say

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife Cristina Serra are divorcing after 10 years of marriage, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish newspaper Sport said they agreed to part ways last month but their relationship is still “cordial, stable and friendly”.

Sport claimed they had been living apart for almost five years after Serra, 52, returned to Barcelona to run her fashion business while her husband remained in Manchester, where he has coached City since 2016.

Since then, their relationship has looked more like “living in combination separately” than a general marriage, the newspaper said on its website.

They were often seen together, however, such as for outings like going to Wimbledon last summer.

The couple wed in Barcelona, where Guardiola played most of his career, in 2014 after meeting in the city 20 years earlier.

Guardiola, 53, and Mrs Serra have three children together, Maria, Marius and Valentina.

Eldest daughter Maria, 24, is a model who has over 900,000 followers on Instagram.

Marius, 22, lives in Dubai and is the CEO of three companies, while Valentina, 17, is studying.

Guardiola is one of the most successful football players and managers of all time.

As a player, he won six La Liga titles and one European Cup with Barcelona, while as a coach he has 3 Champions Leagues and 12 League titles in his spells at City, Barça and Bayern Munich, as well as more than 20 more titles.
