The deal is almost complete as Leipzig and Angelino have agreed to non-public terms, while negotiations with City could end the week.
After his team left the Champions League in August, Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann was sure Angelino would stay.
In an interview with Bild, he said: “I’m pretty sure we can succeed in an agreement with Manchester City.
“Both clubs are outside the Champions League and he is no longer in the tournament. “
Angelino, 23, still has a 3-year contract with City, so they might not be willing to let him go cheap.
