Manchester City’s injury went from bad to worse with Friday’s news that Gabriel Jesus is expected to be gone for several weeks.

The City has still shown the extent of Jesus’ injury or the length of his absence, however, the Brazilian national team announced friday that the 23-year-old striker had withdrawn from his call-up for next month’s World Cup qualifiers in Bolivia and Peru.
“Last Wednesday (23 September), the English national team contacted brazilian national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar informing him of the player’s injury detected following the Premier League attack on Wolverhampton on Monday 21 September,” reads in a statement from CBF’s official website.
This would seem to exclude Jesus at least until mid-October and replaced him in the Selecao team through Matheus Cunha of Hertha BSC.
Jesus joins striker Sergio Aguero at the remedy table, and City manager Pep Guardiola suggested this week that he has only thirteen major players for Leicester’s game.
