God is brutal, is it rarely very?
Manchester City closed the exhibition with a rhythm of eight goals from Salford City to reserve his position in the fourth round.
Pep Guardiola’s side were merciless, showing no kindness to the League Two side. In all honesty, it could have been more.
There were standout moments, but none were bigger than James McAtee’s hat trick.
Mcatee so intelligent that it could probably have added other objectives if it had been clinical. I know, it’s nonsense.
It wasn’t the night Salford wanted, but I’m sure they don’t feel too bad about it. They have made a clever crack.
Anyway, I’m now going to shoot off. Thank you all for joining me on what has been another crazy night of footie.

Wow. Wow. Wow.
Pep Guardiola has just dropped a huge bomb during his post-match press conference.
The Spaniard that Manchester City captain Kyle Walker has asked to leave the club.

Football can be lovely, right?
Pep Guardiola showed their elegance by inviting Salford’s players to Manchester City costumes to chat.
I’m not sure how long they were in there, but I bet he gave them a few nuggets of wisdom.
Visitors would have lost 8-0, but there were many moments tonight that these players will remember.
And this is one of them.

Oh, the drama!
Just when it looked like Frank Lampard’s Coventry were in position for the fourth round, they were hit with a punch.
Anthony Musaba arrived at the house from a corner in the detention time to the game longer.
Isn’t that what everyone was looking for after the 30 more minutes?

Jack Grealish will have to feel more relieved than tonight.
Many were made about the fact that he had scored since 2023 before tonight’s adjustment.
It must have been eating away at him – that’s certainly what it would do to me.
Now that statistic is gone, he got his goal in the end, even if it was only a penalty.
That must have given him some confidence and my word he needed it.
I mean, he didn’t celebrate his goal, so I don’t know if he did anything for him.
But I am that inside, it exploded, it had to be.

I have to admit, I can’t take credit for this sub-heading… it came from the brilliant mind of my colleague Lewis Steele.
Still, it’s class, isn’t it?
Well, that very word ‘class’ is how you can define James Harry Bamforth
