Manchester Crown Court to close Covid cases

A thorough cleanup of the construction of Crown Square has been carried out, but the site will not reopen until the return, HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) said yesterday.

All pressing paintings have been moved across the city to Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.

Details of the six workers were sent to the NHS Test and Trace, HMCTS added.

Crown Square closed its doors Thursday morning after a worker’s positive Covid-19 test, and then returned Monday when three other members tested positive over the weekend.

Some 159 HMCTS locations have remained open by the pandemic and more open in recent weeks for socially remote audiences, and court users are asked to wear face masks.
