Manchester United have officially announced the appointment of Omar Berrada as their new general manager, marking a milestone for the club.
Berrada, a senior backroom figure at rival club Manchester City, currently serves as the Chief Football Operations Officer of the City Football Group, overseeing 13 clubs globally, including the English champions.
The announcement comes after months of speculation and anticipation over the leadership role at Manchester United, with Berrada set to succeed Richard Arnold, who stepped down for a year in charge.
The recruitment procedure has reportedly been led through new investor Jim Radcliffe’s INEOS Group, reflecting the club’s commitment to strengthening its control team.
