MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly chasing Real Sociedad star Robin Le Normand but they are facing a tough festival from Liverpool.
The 26-year-old, who was born in France, moved up in Ligue 2 with Brest before being recruited via the Spaniards.
He arrived at Real Sociedad in 2016 and helped them win the Copa del Rey 3 years later.
Last season he helped the club finish fourth in La Liga and his performances were temporarily rewarded on the foreign stage.
He made his debut for Spain earlier this year and was part of the squad that won the UEFA Nations League trophy over the summer.
The Norman has continued his impressive form this season, whether at home and in the Champions League, all three of his team’s organizing matches.
Now, TEAMtalk claims that United and Liverpool are planning a coup for him at the end of the campaign.
They claim that Premier League teams are “for defensive reinforcements” with scouts deployed around the world to discover a gem.
The report said the skill scouts at the respective club “took note of the Norman and liked what they saw” of the ace.
The Norman, who is 27 months old, signed a new contract this summer in San Sebastian.

This ties him to them at least until June 2026.
However, he is said to have a clause worth £43. 6 million.
And that may mean Real Sociedad will have the difficult task of retaining their defender if the fees are paid through one of England’s red powers.
