Manchester United will return to the Champions League on Thursday when they realize their parties facing the organizing stage, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expecting something similar to their quarter-final career two seasons ago that helped secure their permanent management position.

Solskjaer has fond memories at the European festival of his days in the game thanks to his outstanding winning purpose in the 1999 Champions League final, but more recently led United to an exciting victory against Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 games of 2018/19 following his recovery. Deficit of 2-0 to the progression of home purposes.

The PSG is one of the organizations that can pose a real challenge for United at the organization stage, with the finalists of the 2019/20 Champions League among the first organizations to face United.

Alongside the French champions is Bayern Munich, the dominant German force that regained the European crown in August thanks to their victory over PSG, while the other giants, Real Madrid and Juventus, are also present alongside the respective champions of Russia and Portugal, Zenit St. Petersburg and FC Porto and the current Europa League champions in Seville.

The only team in Pot 1 they cannot face is Liverpool, given UEFA’s policy of not allowing organizations from the same league to meet each other in the organizing phase, while Manchester City and Chelsea join the pot of the moment.

Along with one of the first heavyweights in the well, United will also face off next to Bombo 3 and Bombo four, with a series of sensitive draws likely to wait next to Solskjaer. Last season’s semi-finalists, RB Leipzig, are among the big hitters of the third pot, along with Serie A duo Inter Milan and Atalanta, while Lokomotiv Moscow and Marseille will pose difficult and demanding situations in the fourth pot.
