Manchester United could embezzle Napoli, Arsenal’s target 30 million defender: report

Manchester United is reportedly making plans to divert Arsenal’s movement target, Gabriel Magalhaes, to the existing summer market.

Magalhaes, who has lately played for Lille in Ligue 1, has been inclined to move to Arsenal or Napoli after the new president of the French club, Gerard Lopez.

“I think it’s fair to say that Arsenal is a great interest to him, Napoli is a great interest to him. We gave him plenty of time to make a decision. We said, “Look if we have an agreement with two clubs or 3 clubs and the deals are the same, we’re not going to create an auction contest,” Lopez told the talkSPORT online sports page in a recent interview.

When Lopez asked if Arsenal was the player’s first choice, the club’s president refused to respond, as stated in the same talkSPORT report.

The Italian publication Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that Man Utd had jumped into the image and planned to take over Magalhaes, 22, this summer. However, the Red Devils have less than two days to answer a call about the defender. Italian media also revealed that if Magalhaes landed at Old Trafford or the Emirates, it would be a setback for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, which will draft Napoli Kalidou Koulibaly’s central defender.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s report said that if Napoli do not point to Brazilian Magalhaes, that in their attractions in recent months, before the 2020–2021 season, the Serie A club will not pass on to Man City’s target, Koulibaly.

It is understood that Magalhaes’ long race will be in the next 48 hours. The young defender began his professional career at Brazilian club Avai before joining Lille’s youth formula in 2017 before being loaned to French club Troyes and Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb.

Although Napoli and Man Utd need to get Magalhaes’ services, the report published in Gianluca Di Marzio’s report revealed that Arsenal, thanks to its $30 million offer, is still at the forefront of pointing to the Sao Paulo-born defender.
