Manchester United could make an offer for Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries next week, it emerged.
Dumfries has risen to the top of European football following a successful crusade for Euro 2020.
Dumfries pinned the Netherlands at the last European Championship and drew attention with his marauding runs down the right after a role as a winger.
His Appearances at Euro 2020 would draw a lot of attention in the summer 2021 move window, which went from PSV to Inter Milan.
Since then, the 26-year-old has continued with Inter, scoring five goals and five assists in 33 league games last season.
Now, in weeks, Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the right-back.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United would accentuate their interest in Denzel Dumfries next week.
It adds that the Nerazzurri are set to sell their star full-back as they look to make a first sale this summer, with Erik Ten Hag’s side now in contention to make an offer for the Dutch foreigner as soon as next week.
But that will only happen if United can get rid of their own right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
In terms of Dumfries’ potential move fees, it is reported that Inter can be part of the defender for around £34 million.
However, United’s main challenge in any possible move by Dumfries would be to get rid of Wan-Bissaka rather than pay the value Inter demanded.
Wan-Bissaka has shown that he is not made to play for one of the most productive teams in the Premier League, but his salary is now probably too high for the department’s lower teams that might be interested in him.
