Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that his Manchester United team felt ‘a little flat and disappointed’ after their defeat to Arsenal, but said the club had no more injuries to deal with while ready to face Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League.
The Red Devils desperately want a positive reaction in Turkey after wasting even more Premier League points on Sunday in their third defeat of the season to the most sensitive level.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s 69th-minute penalty sealed Arsenal’s first win at Old Trafford since 2006.
“In addition to being a little flat and disappointed, unsurprisingly, there are no more injuries and I think the team will look the same again,” Solskjaer told United official on Tuesday.
“Jesse [Lingard] trained. We’ll see if there’s a reaction. He trained [on Monday]. We’ll see if there’s a reaction. “
“I would probably move to Istanbul, but we’re not sure yet. It’s brighter. “
“Alex [Such] has to test negative for his next test, so we can get it back as soon as possible. “
United are expected to receive Anthony Martial after the Frenchman missed Sunday’s loss to Arsenal by suspension.
“Anthony was vital to us last season and the time I’m here,” the technician said.
“Then, of course, getting it back is an impulse. This gives us more front and side features, and we’re looking forward to seeing the most productive thing about Anthony.
“I think towards the end of Leipzig’s match you may see his sharpness coming and it was positive and bright, which is good. “
United expect their 100 percent Champions League record after starting the crusade with a pair of impressive victories against Paris Saint-Germain and Leipzig.
Their Turkish war matches have their two opening matches of the competition.
