Bruno Fernandes faces another suspension after being sanctioned for the third time this season in the 2-0 defeat of Manchester United against the Wolves.
The midfielder was dismissed following a second yellow card two minutes into the second half at Molineux.
Already in an warning, Fernandes showed a red card through the referee Tony Harrington for a late entrance to Nelson Semedo.
Fernandes has been sent twice to the Premier League and the Champions League this season.
In the Premier League, he won a direct red card to Tottenham in September for a foul on the Spurs midfielder, James Maddison.
But because this red card was overturned on appeal, no further suspension is added to his red card against Wolves, so Fernandes will miss an adjustment for two yellow cards.
Fernandes will be sanctioned when United faces the Newcastle in Old Trafford on December 30, but will then face Liverpool at Anfield on January 5.
Asked if he was worried about another red card for Fernandes after the defeat to Wolves left United in 14th place in the Premier League, Ruben Amorim said: “I’m frustrated about the red card, but he can take a position because he needs to go for the ball.
“It’s not as if he needed to avoid the player with a yellow. He sought to pass through the ball, the guy came first and touched and this is also complicated for him. “
