Manchester United are ‘keen’ on signing Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Georgiy Sudakov.

This is according to a report from Tutto Juve, which claims that United, who face Galatasaray in a very important Champions League organising match in midweek, are one of three Premier League clubs that could try to secure his signing in the “near future”. Arsenal and Chelsea have also been credited with interest in signing him.

The 21-year-old, who is also attracting interest from Italian and Spanish clubs, has caught Shakhtar’s eye so far this season, both domestically and in Europe. He has scored 3 goals and a handball in 15 games, so far.

Although he primarily plays as an attacking midfielder, Sudakov is also capable of playing widely, meaning he is a flexible operator. He is also a very technical and professional individual, which means he would pose an additional risk to United’s attack if they win the race for his signature.

On the books of Shakhtar since 2020, Sudakov, who turned 21 at the start of September, has made 82 appearances for the Ukrainian club, scoring 13 goals and registering 13 assists. He has also earned 12 caps for Ukraine.

Meanwhile, United have “set their sights” on much-loved Derby youngster Cruz Allen. That’s according to a report from The Sun, which claims his performances among the youngsters have “alerted” the Reds.

The 16-year-old, who already made his senior debut for the League One Rams, playing in an EFL Trophy match earlier this season, has made a number of performances for the club’s Under-18 Premier League. He has scored 3 goals and registered 3 assists in just seven games at the aforementioned festival this season.

Reportedly, his performances have caught the attention of some of the Premier League’s biggest players, United. Chelsea and Newcastle United have also been credited with their interest in signing him.

Despite turning just 17 at the end of February, Allen has already made four caps for Wales at Under-17 level, scoring two goals. Insights suggest that he is a flexible operator, able to play in midfield and attack, despite being a midfielder through trade.
