Manchester United will get a £3m guarantee from Borussia Dortmund following the deal to bring Jadon Sancho back to his former club on loan.
United will recover the maximum of Sancho’s salary as part of the deal, whereby Dortmund will pay an advance of 3. 5 million euros for a loan deal that runs until June 30, 2024. No acquisition features are included in the agreement.
The potential additions included in the agreement reached between the two clubs amount to another €4 million, but to reach the full amount, Sancho would have to play in all of Dortmund’s games and the club would have to go all the way. Champions League this season and qualify for the festival next season.
Although unlikely, United see a potential payment in excess of €3. 5m as a bonus, having managed to squeeze the bulk out of Sancho’s salary for the rest of this season in a deal that also gives the 23-year-old the chance to return to top-flight football.

After confirming his return to the club, Sancho said: “When I walked into the dressing room today I felt like I was coming home. I know the club inside and out, I’ve been very close to the fans here and I’ve never lost touch with those in charge.

“Although he hasn’t played any competitive matches in recent months, we are confident that he will temporarily adapt to us, have compatibility and use his qualities to achieve our goals for the season. “
Sancho has made just three United substitute appearances this season, all in August, and has been training only since September. The winger has been excluded from first-team education after accusing manager Erik ten Hag of lying about his absence from the team. team for the match against Arsenal, saying he had a “scapegoat”.
Sancho played as a substitute in the first three games of the Premier League season but was left out of the 3–1 defeat to Arsenal on 3 September.
