English winger Jadon Sancho will remain at Borussia Dortmund for the next season amid Manchester United interest, club director Michael Zorc said on Monday.

“We look forward to having Jadon Sancho on our team this season, the resolution is final. I think it answers all our questions,” Zorc said at the team’s educational camp in Switzerland.

Zorc added that Dortmund had already paid Sancho “to adapt to the evolution of his performance” last summer.

“Then, in the context, we had already extended his contract until 2023 at that time,” he said.

Sancho’s contract was originally scheduled to extend until 2022. Dortmund did not make any announcements about the extension of a year when it was made.

Sancho was closely related to United the off-season after the club qualified for the Champions League next season. Sancho joined Dortmund from Manchester City in 2017.

Sancho is one of Dortmund’s most notable artists last season. The 20-year-old striker has scored 17 goals and scored 17 more in 32 Bundesliga games.

Due to cases of the coronavirus pandemic, the era of move-in will run until October 5. The next day is the deadline for clubs to register players for the organizational stages of the UEFA competitions of the new season.
