Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has joined Lazio on a one-season contract.
Pereira made 40 appearances for United last season, Bruno Fernandes’ additions in January and Donny van de Beek this summer took him to the line at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old has been ruled off the squad in the first two games of the United Premier League season against Brighton and Crystal Palace, as well as in their Carabao Cup matches in Luton and Brighton.
Lazio is looking for reinforcements in the middle of the field after not having David Silva, who will sign for Real Sociedad in La Liga after leaving Manchester City.
“It’s a club, Lazio. Andreas has to play regularly,” United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told the club’s website.
“He started very well last season and played a lot of games. You may see confidence grow and you may see her grow, but after signing Bruno, that position Andy played in was taken because Bruno came in and had so much impact.
“We thought this was the most productive thing for Andreas. “
Summer merchandise closes at 23:00 a. m. on Monday, five October, with a lively party featuring football’s biggest names.
