Manchester United’s new recruit Facundo Pellistri said on Wednesday that he is looking to bet along the club’s talented attack, adding Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
The 18-year-old recently moved from Uruguay’s Club Peñarol to Manchester United for $11 million. Pelistri signed a five-year contract with Old Trafford and his contract has a one-year extension option.
Pellistri has made 37 appearances for the five-time South American champions over the past two years, scoring two goals. When Man Utd finished signing, technician Ole Gunnar Solskjaer described his new addition as having “all the technical qualities and the right mindset to be a more sensible player here” in an interview.
Man Utd gave Pellistri his 25th jersey and included the player on his 25-man list for the upcoming Champions League.
Pellistri trained for the first time at the Aon educational complex in Man Utd on Wednesday. “I had my first consultation with the Reds in a wonderful educational center. Really excited to start and it looks tough,” Pellistri wrote on his Instagram account with some photos.
