Manchester United released their Paul Pogba weight after the Frenchman was “shocked, angry, shocked and frustrated” through a “fake news” story that surfaced in The Sun.
The article Pogba would refuse to play for France following President Emmanuel Macron’s comments on terrorism.
Macron called the horrific murder of instructor Samuel Paty a “Islamic terrorist attack,” adding, “Unity and firmness are the answers to the monstrosity of Islamist terrorism. “
However, Pogba, who switched to Islam as an adult, has absolutely denied taking action on what Macron and Manchester United said back to their midfield.
One club said: “Paul supports respect for his own faith and all beliefs, and opposes any form of violence.
“These stories are completely unfounded. Paul is fully committed to the game for his country. “
This follows Pogba’s own statement, which read: “The sun is back. Surely there is unfounded news about me, indicating things I’ve never said or what I’ve never thought about.
“I am dismayed, angry, surprised and frustrated that some ‘media’ resources are me to make false headlines on the delicate subject of French news and load my faith and the French team to the boat.
“I oppose all the bureaucracy of terror and violence. My faith is a faith of peace and love and will have to be respected. Unfortunately, some hounds do not act responsiblely when they write the news, abuse their freedom of the press, do not check if what they write/reproduce is true, create a chain of gossip without worrying that it affects people’s lives and mine.
“I am taking legal action against publishers and announcers of this 100 percent false information. In a quick cry to The Sun, who generally didn’t care: some of you probably went to school and won’t forget how your instructor said to verify your sources, don’t write without making sure. But well, it looks like you’ve done it again and on a very serious issue this time, disgrace to you!»
The Sun published his on the subject, writing, “We reported a story that Paul Pogba made the resolution to leave the French national football team after it was published on a sports website.
“The story was also published through The Mirror, Mail Online and other websites.
“Later, Paul Pogba denied the claim and updated our story accordingly.
“We for any disorder caused. “
